Dog Boarding Routine
Dog Behavioral Evaluation
At Camp Good Puppy, every dog must successfully complete a Behavioral Evaluation and attend a few days of our daycare services before being considered for overnight boarding. This process ensures that dogs become familiar with their new environment and routine, significantly reducing stress levels when they are away from their families and homes.
Our Dog Boarding Routine
During their stay, boarding dogs follow the same daily routine as our daycare group, allowing for plenty of interaction between both groups. Each dog is provided with their own kennel for eating and sleeping. We serve your dog’s food and administer any medications according to your specific instructions. All dogs are fed at least twice daily, and we can accommodate additional meals or late-night snacks as needed. We proudly support a variety of dietary needs, including RAW diets, with refrigeration and freezer space available.
Minimum Boarding Requirements
To make Camp Good Puppy feel like a true home away from home, we ask that any dogs who haven’t visited in over four months attend 1-2 days of daycare prior to their overnight stay. This reinforces familiarity and comfort with our environment. Check out what a typical day at camp looks like!
Puppies and Shy Campers
Our Dog Boarding Process
At Camp Good Puppy, we ensure a smooth transition for puppies and shy dogs through **gradual introductions** in our specialized areas. With multiple play zones available, we can slowly acclimate new dogs to the group, providing the care and attention they need. This method is crucial for puppies, helping them build confidence without feeling rushed into unfamiliar interactions.
Puppy Pre-School & Kindergarten
Our **Puppy Pre-School and Kindergarten** program is tailored for puppies under 7 months. Located in a supervised puppy area separate from older dogs, this program focuses on teaching basic manners, introducing new sounds and textures, and fostering socialization with people and other puppies to enhance their confidence.
Our Puppy Routine
Maintaining a balanced environment is essential for the healthy development of social skills and canine etiquette. As your puppy matures, we will carefully introduce them to our older, trusted “puppy trainers.” In this dynamic, they will learn appropriate social behaviors, greeting etiquette, and the importance of rest periods.
Our setup promotes an ideal **play-rest-play** routine, allowing puppies under 7 months to receive a mid-day nap and lunch, promoting both development and comfort in their transition to **dog boarding** at Camp Good Puppy.
